Pakistan is currently facing population explosion and there is an impending danger of food insecurity. Meanwhile, our native breeds are unable to cater the ever-growing meat needs because of their poor genetics and non-descriptive nature. Moreover, there is also deficiency of accurate data recording. Therefore, the need was felt to take preemptive measures in a bid to increase Pakistan’s beef production. In this backdrop, dream of Brahman Pakistan was envisioned and to fulfill this dream, Pakistan Brahman Breeders Association was formally instituted on December 28, 2021.
The purpose of this effort is to promote the use of high performing Brahman breed by establishing standards and providing guidelines for breed development, and thus empower the farmers to do profitable farming. In the long run, we passionately desire to make Pakistan a healthy nation by enhancing the per capita meat consumption and contribute to national GDP by exporting the surplus.
We are dedicated to serving the beef industry through education, managing data and maintaining the integrity of the herd books. Therefore, we are open to anyone who is committed for correct data recording and interested in economical farming.
Our mission is to provide a host of services in our quest to uplifting the country’s beef standards through the use of Brahman breed.
